- 2 oz Mimm’s Blackberry Moonshine

- 2 oz Owltown Raspberry Guava Vodka

- Top with Cran-Blackberry Juice

- Garnish with Fresh Berries

This drink was born out of our founder’s childhood in the mountains.

It reminds us of playin’ in the mud, getting our hands dirty in the garden, and Meema’s infamous showdown with a rattlesnake.

So where did the Dirty Hillbilly come from?

Tommy Townsend was born in the mud and is the original Dirty Hillbilly. Growing up in the mountains meant riding dirt bikes, playing in the woods, working on the sawmill, and getting into trouble.

“That’s just how we grew up around here,” Tommy says.

The Townsends planted crops in their garden every year on their farm - they even grew their own corn for the legendary moonshine.

The spring water we use for our shine and spirits today is from that same farm - Tommy’s mom Ida’s farm, the daughter of the legendary Mimm McClure. (Also known as Meema.)

“She was skinny as a stick and scared the shit out of everybody.”

Ida was living proof that the smallest people can be the most intimidating - no one messed with Meema. She once took a shot gun and shot a rattlesnake right down the middle of the face because it was messin’ around her land.

She was a crazy basketball player and is known around town for it.

Don’t mess with Meema, and don’t drink a Dirty Hillbilly on an empty stomach.
